New Community Center to Offer Family Recreation Activities

In an ongoing collaboration to improve the quality of life for Beaumont residents, the City of Beaumont and Pardee Homes have come together to develop the new Albert A. Chatigny Sr. Community Center.
Named for the late Albert Chatigny Sr., a World War II veteran with a long-standing presence in the city, the planned recreation center is expected to open in Spring 2009 at the corner of Cherry Avenue
and Oak Valley Parkway in Pardee Homes' Sundance community.
Built at the edge of the planned community, all Beaumont residents will be able to enjoy the family-friendly center-featuring an emergency preparedness center, indoor basketball courts, child care
facilities, an outdoor amphitheatre and community gathering facilities.
Pardee Homes has long made a commitment to providing open space and family gathering places in the communities in which it builds. Along with the new community center, Pardee Homes' Sundance community
also features Mountain View Park, a five-acre outdoor recreation area, and three-acre Wildflower Park. The parks are home to soccer fields, basketball courts and playgrounds–providing an open invitation
for everyone in Beaumont to enjoy a nice day at the park.
Together, Beaumont and Pardee Homes have committed to a vision of a family community with wholesome values and affordable living. The Albert A. Chatigny Sr. Community Center is one more way for that
vision to be realized.
